Reiki (Healing Touch) Level 1

Service Description

This comprehensive program provides the foundation you will need to fully understand the aspects of working with the energy techniques of Reiki for your own personal use and your loved ones. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health defines Reiki Therapy as “a complementary health approach in which practitioners place their hands lightly on or just above a person, with the goal of directing energy to help facilitate the person’s own healing response. It’s based on an Eastern belief in an energy that supports the body’s innate or natural healing abilities.” Reiki Therapy is considered a low-risk intervention. Reiki is facilitated either with a light touch, or slightly off the body without touch, making it a beneficial therapeutic intervention. Evidence-based outcomes of Reiki Therapy include: Pain relief Reduced anxiety and depression. Increased relaxation In Eastern Medicine disease is caused by energetic imbalances; therefore, health can be restored or established by balancing one’s energies. Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. Reiki provides a tool for the holistic healing of ourselves and loved ones. Learn specific techniques, including effective hand placements, how to identify energy concerns, how to clarify and realize your goals, and how to develop intuitive abilities. At the completion of the class, student will be Certified Level One. Tuition $200. Kimberly Oen is a Professional Member of the International Reiki Organization and has completed the required course of study in Usui Ryoho Reiki Levels 1, II and III and is certified as Shinpiden Reiki Master and Teacher.
